January 2009
Fuck 2008. →
I’m glad to see the last of this year. It has not been awesome for me, mostly. Hopefully 2009 will be better — for me, and you, and everybody. (If your year was awesome, well — 2009 will be…
December 2008
Going to sleep, setting my alarm for noon. Will sleep four hours and hopefully crash hard tonight and sleep normally. Damnit damnit damnit.
Still awake. Almost 6am. My circadian rhythms are being played by a polka drummer with a cocktail set and a nasty case of vertigo.
OMG it’s easy to record a Bloc Party song. I’ve done it. It’s really good dancepunk, but I don’t know how I feel about it as an RSS song.
Having trouble kicking my own ass back to being productive.
Going to clean my house today. Yep. Really. Clean my house.

How can Rod Stewart have such good taste in music and ruin so many good covers?
Thinking I’m gonna make myself a mocha, spend the morning with Pontius Pilate and the evening with my portfolio. This makes sense to me.
iTunes just served up a recording T.S. Eliot reading “The Waste Land”. I have a weird iPod.
Now making my espresso bolognese sauce. Mmmmmmm.
Spaghetti, diet Dr. Pepper and HOWARD THE DUCK on Hulu. My idea of Heaven.
Scrubbing my house like a fresh convict. New Year = clean life.
Shamelessly liberated parents’ espresso machine. No espresso until kitchen is scrubbed, though.
Went to X-mas party last night, grabbed wrong jacket without keys or phone, was stuck for 2.5 hours outside in 40 degree weather. Sigh.
My hair has finally reached 80s postpunk synth player mass and trajectory. W00t!
Dad and I up early (well, me no sleepy) watching the news and waiting for the ladies to wake up and the sun to rise. Merry Christmas, world.

The Thought That Keeps Me Awake At Night… →
…is that 100,000 years from now, when aliens discover the scattered remnants of what’s left of the human species, the dialogue’s going to go something like this.
